RESERVED: Spring/Summer 2024: Custom Botanically Dyed & Printed Leotard or Set
In recognition of the deeply transformational time we are living through, I will be offering a new image carving for every custom order: In addition to my library of existing imagery, each custom order reservation will include the creation of a new symbol for their garment.
Custom garments are visual spellworks created with symbolic imagery from my extensive archive of original carvings. I put my whole heart into these creations. A commitment that I have with myself is to always reserve freedom within my process: spaciousness for the muse to come through. To me, the most amazing aspect in art making is mystery itself. To me, art making is an exercise in learning how to entwine Devotion and the release of control.
When I create custom pieces, the challenge is to weave the client's intention/desire/ask with my own artistic vision, and with the mystery of the muse. Because of this, custom pieces require spaciousness and trust. I have found that without mystery, and this need for freedom and trust in the process, there is a loss of potency in the creation.
