The Empress with her heart of venus, slips through a portal to dreamland through an enchanted garden.
Size XS/S due to very small armholes (can be adjusted for size medium by request)
Vintage 1940's or 50's bewitched sleeping gown. Made from very soft cotton, possibly rayon.
Semi-sheer but not translucent. Lightweight with a lovely amount of swing when you walk.
The bewitched gowns are reclaimed vintage garments, adorned with hand blockprinting from our library of original carvings. This series celebrates the Empress: tarot card III from the aether arcana. The Bewitched gowns are a resurrection process: beloved garments are brought back to life through beauty magic. Small imperfections in these garments (small holes or discoloration) are seen as a reflection of life lived.
The Bewitched gowns are meant for tromping through forests, for ritual, for rainstorm dancing, or for hanging on the wall if you wish. Please wash by hand and hang to dry in moonlight.
